41 degrees.

I’m not at St John today. Because our superintendant’s house burnt down.
So I’ve decided to use this time to have a whinge about the amount of people who chose that it was ‘too hot’ to come to school today.
Looking around the class room this morning in health, I noticed that more than half the class was missing. I found this to be a trend through all classes.
Newsflash:
We live in Australia. It’s a hot country. Get the fuck over it, or get used to it.
Year seven, eight, nine and ten, I understand their absence. They don’t exactly have life changing exams in 11 months time which will test the content learnt NOW. They’re carefree. Nothing to worry about. And weak. Can’t handle the heat as their body system functions a lot less efficiently than an adults, as they have a larger skin surface area to body size ratio and are more likely to lose fluids and dehydrate and have less developed sweat glands compared to adults and are therefore more likely to become overheated and suffer from heat stress. Wow, that felt like I was doing my health assignment, the one we got handed today. The one all those people who were incapable of dealing with the heat missed out on. Yes, you missed an assessment task.
So what else did you miss out on? Well those who share my English, Economics and Maths class, you missed out on the following.
1. The ending of Ben X and Ms Wicks’ lecture on how it links to belonging and it relates to Dickinson.
2. In eco, a research task on the international organisations affecting trade, and an interesting talk session with Elwin about ‘Sashimi” and “the perfect man”. May I add, Ms Fluke’s replies to his questions were epic.
3. Exercise 1.07 and Fonzi’s lecture. Btw, chapter 10 (investing money) is due next Friday.
Those in The Group that chose to not come to school, you missed:
1. Amy and myself trimming Brad’s Leg hair at recess and lunch, then my cutting a chunk of his leg with the scissors.
2. Kirra, Ninaas and Chantelle? Drenching each other until they looked like they had wet themselves. Then Kirra blaming the two drops of rain that fell out of the sky shortly afterwards.
3. ...and that’s all.
Back to my original point....
....which I can’t seem to remember now...perhaps it’s because I didn’t really have a point to start with.
I just think it’s stupid that people should not attend school because of the heat. You know, it was also interesting to find that a large proportion of the ‘plastics’ weren’t there. Were they afraid of melting? You know I could go on and talk about the properties of different polymers and continue on using an extending metaphor to refer to the different people I wish to refer to in this entry as various polymers, but surprisingly, I do have better things to do.
Moving along to the weekend.
The beach. Tomorrow. Is. The. Beach. (Yes I know, that’s poor wording on my behalf, forgive me)
Bondi Beach. Eshlads and foreign chicks, sunbathing – topless. Don’t question my sexual preferences, just yet. It should be a good day.
OH! I remember now what I wanted to say before. (I joined the “I hate when I forget to say something I really wanted to say” facebook group)
Facebook. Mother Fucker. Facebook has started so much shit, for so many people, that I’m currently considering deactivating mine, or blocking/removing those who are most likely to start shit with me. So, if you happen to type my name into the search bar on one of your daily hunts for gossip, or visit my page to keep track of my facebooking, and find that I’m not there or that nothing has changed, it’s probably because I’ve either blocked you from seeing certain things on my page, or I’ve deleted you.
Thankyou.
That’s all for now kids, I might actually go and write up some maths study notes for the upcoming exam, or finish off the work I’m supposed to hand in. Or Start my PDHPE assessment task and study notes. Or perhaps finish my biology wordlist and get my dot points up to date and do the question that we’re going to be quizzed on this Monday, or read through the KISS booklet and prepare notes. OR maybe I could do some chemistry homework sheets. Catch up to that 11 Brame expects us to be on when he returns on Monday. I’m on 8. Or maybe I could do the work he left us to do while he was away. Or perhaps I could do the dot points and textbook worksheets too? Or I could catch up with economics and do the couple of pages that I haven’t done yet. Jeez, if I ever say, “I have nothing to do” slap me. I’ve always got something to do.
`Tis all for now,
`Till next time,
Have fun, play it safe, keep it sexy.
